De Homies hondenrugzak is gemaakt voor comfortabele en veilige avonturen met je hond. Daarnaast zien ze er goed uit. Gebouwd voor dagelijks comfort, met gevoerde schouderbanden en ademende materialen zodat zowel jij als je hond kunnen genieten van onderweg zijn.
De tas is ontworpen in (en wordt verzonden vanuit) Nederland, en ontwikkeld samen met designers en veterinaire professionals. Elke tas is op ethische wijze geproduceerd via Fairtrade-fabriek in Bangladesh (in vrouwelijk bezit), en voor elke verkochte Homies tas doneren we een maaltijd aan een asiel. Dit jaar aan DOA Amsterdam.

Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (back length).
Do not include the tail.
If your dog is between two sizes → size up for comfort.
Size XS – 35 cm
Fits dogs with a back length of 30–40 cm
Best for: Toy Poodles, Chihuahuas, very small dogs
Size S – 45 cm
Fits dogs with a back length of 40–50 cm
Best for: Standard (not oversized) Dachshunds, Maltipoos, similar small dogs
Size M – 55 cm
Fits dogs with a back length of 50–60 cm
Best for: Labradoodles and similar medium-sized dogs

Yes! The bag is designed with vet input and tested for ergonomics. It has cushioned support, breathable mesh windows, and proper weight distribution. Your dog should be able to sit naturally with their paws down. Always attach the safety leash to a harness (not a collar) for comfort and security.
Yes, many customers use it for senior dogs or pups with mobility issues who can't walk long distances. The bag gives them a safe way to still join adventures. Just make sure they can sit comfortably, and we advise taking regular breaks - see below for guidance.
Dogs can stay in the bag as long as they're comfortable and relaxed. For longer trips, take breaks every 1.5 hours for a pee break and leg stretch. You also want to go to the toilet and stretch your legs every 1.5 hours, right? Your dog does too! These regular breaks keep both of you happy and comfortable on longer adventures.
Yes! Our bags have been extensively tested and approved by certified veterinary professionals, including specifically for long-backed breeds like dachshunds. The design supports your dog's natural sitting position with proper weight distribution and cushioned support.
The key is correct sizing and usage:
The bag is designed for transport from A to B, not for extended periods. As long as your dachshund can sit comfortably and you take breaks, they'll be safe and happy in the carrier.
